Not an emergency, but what's going on? *PICS!!*

Does she roost at night or sleep on the ground? I know if feather follicles are damaged for an extended period of time, the follicles may not be able to produce feathers again. I would apply healing ointment to the area daily to encourage the redness to go away. I use and highly recommend Rawleighs salve. It's about $10 a tin and is safe to use on people and animals.
