Hi guys, I’m kind of worried about my two year old hen Luna. About two months ago we remodeled the coop, and after that she didn’t lay eggs. I thought it was just because of the remodeling or the heat wave that we had. Then about a month later I noticed she was sick, I have a thread about that I’ll try to find it. Anyway I gave her Epsom salt baths and antibiotics. I also noticed her bumble foot around that time as well. It took about two weeks for her to recover and start eating and drinking again. Shes still a bit skinny, but other than that she looks totally fine. Some of her feathers on her tail are missing, so maybe she’s going through a molt? She hasn’t laid eggs in more than two months at this point and I don’t know what to do! Maybe she hast to gain some weight first? Or again maybe she’s starting to molt. Any suggestions, advice, or thoughts would really help. Here’s the links to my threads:

Hi jenesa. Sorry for the late reply. Been a bit busy these few weeks no electricity or water😔. Ironically I actually found your initial thread when I was searching for a cure to my ducks bumblefoot. My duck has not laid an egg ,since I started on the antibiotics. Still eats though. I found some success with changing the dressings on her foot every day and applying fresh nesporn to the cut (The swelling is down).I would say that if your chicken has been taking antibiotic she's going through some loss of gut bacteria. And maybe she is also going through a molt. Several things at once probably. Keep her warm keep her clean at best she'll shrug it off.

Thank you for the reply! She is definitely going through a molt.
