Not an emergency, weird eggs then dead hen

I lost a year old hen, she was half game half EE . She laid pretty green eggs, but last month her eggs started floating, even the day she laid them. When they were cracked open they had very little white in them, a normal yoke and lots of air. The shells were normal and smooth, with no cracks .She seemed, healthy , was active and had no signs of illness, just weird eggs. Any idea, what could have caused this? I've been searching this forum, but haven't found anything like it.

She could have had a vitamin or mineral deficiency. Or some kind of disease. I'm sure what kind of disease though. I've never heard of anything like this.

She seemed healthy . I don't have a clue why her eggs were only partially filled

, but believe it had something to do with her death.
