I just lost one of my babies to sour crop so I really want to make sure I take care of this one! She is limping, not putting weight on her left foot. It is a bit swollen though there is no clear wound. I'm assuming this is bumble foot? I soaked her foot for 15 mns in epsom salts and then applied honey and wrapped it up. she is inside with us right now so she isn't trying to run around with her sisters and making it worse. What else should I do? What else could this be? How often should I soak it? Thanks in advance for any help! (I took a video of her walking but I don't know how to upload it).

Sorry you lost one of your girls to sour crop.
Did you by any chance take some pictures of the foot on your limping girl both top and bottom after you soaked and cleaned it but before you wrapped it?
When you say the foot was warm, did you compare it to the other foot? Chickens always feel warm to the touch to us because humans run cooler than they do.

I did not take a picture but I was going to soak it again before bed so I will then. Both feet were warm but it did seem to be warmer. It was definitely swollen on the pad on the bottom and she did not want to fully open her foot.

I did double check, we no longer think it is any warmer than the other foot.

I soaked her foot again this morning. This time I added tea tree oil and lavender to the water. I searched again, there is NO wound. Her middle toe and pad are still swollen. She was kind of walking on it. I gave her a dust of aspirin in her water. She ate and drank. Then I put honey on her foot and wrapped her foot. I put her back outside to see how she does. The other girls were so happy to see her. She seems to be walking around ok but definitely has a gimpy run. I am no longer thinking bumblefoot. A sprain maybe? She will fully clasp my finger with her toes....my current plan is to keep checking on her, if she starts limping bring her back in. And soak it again tonight and have her sleep in here so as not to attempt the roost. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I don't see a wound either, but the foot is swollen isn't it?
Soaking is a good idea, hopefully that will help reduce and sooth it.

They do love being with the flock and I think it helps with healing over all. Restricting Since she's happy outside I would consider leaving her with the others. If you need to restrict activity, if possible, set up a large crate inside the run/coop so she can be near them.

Thanks. She does seem to be happy being with the flock. She still seems to be walking ok and the bandage is still on. But it is still swollen and she still limps when she runs - which seems to only be when she sees me and runs to me so I have cut back on checking on her :(
