I thought my hens had bumble foot but I am not sure now. There was a dark spot about the size of a nail head on two of the hens. One I had to loosen then it came out, no puss or cheesy stuff, was clear and not infected underneath. No swelling. It just left a hole where the plug was.

Chicken #2 had black "plugs" on bottom of both feet. I was able to just pry those out, same thing, not cheesy or infected, there was no swelling or redness. They really looked like poop that had gotten really packed in one spot. I cleaned them then put salve in the holes, which were deep, and bandaged them for now.

Chicken #3 has a swollen toe, and is black on the top but hard, like it had died back. It may have started near the toenail. Not red around edges. I salved and bandaged it. I think the toe had been pecked at. It doesn't smell and is not really a true scab. It seemed to crack a little around the edge. This chicken stays in the nest box all the time because of others were pecking at her toe.

Should I be worried about the first two since no sign of infection? Not sure what to do with the last one.

you can start number 3 on antibiotics to help prevent infection.I'd use a anti infective water soluble anti infective like Gallamycine. or you can give injections of LA200 1/2 cc once daily in the breast for 5 days. if the bird was mine I'd start the antibiotic as soon as possible. this will prevent father or getting an infection . good luck and keep the area clean. it will heal faster if kept really clean. good luck and hope this is helpful. best wishes! keep us posted on how they are doing.
