i know its not about chickens but if anyone can help i have a betta that lost an eye!!! will he be ok

He should be okay but make sure you are keeping your water really clean to make sure he doesn't get stressed out and become easy prey for fungul or bacterial infections...

Honestly, it depends on the situation and the fish. Sometimes, they live fine. I have seen a Black Moor Goldfish without any eyes live many years...but other times the stress of the incident can kill the fish. If it's in an aquarium with other fish, I suggest you remove him to his own tank quickly. If he's alone...well, how on earth did he manage that? In any case, if he's in his own aquarium, just keep the light off, make sure your water quality is good, and do not feed him for a few days. Leave him alone, and watch for white spots on his fins. Often times, fish can recover very well.

If he had pop eye or some other type of disease before this incident, he does need to be treated for it.

If after a few days he still isn't eating, Garlic will help get his appetite back up. You can crush fresh garlic, or get an appetite enhancer from your local aquarium store. I've also heard of people using "Bettafix", but personally haven't used it, so I can't recommend it personally.

+1 I have over 100 betta's and usually loss of an eye is from #1 Fish attacking that betta #2 "Pop eye" that got brushed causing the eye to actually rupture.

X2. I had a African Cichlid lose a eye a few years ago. She ended up recovering fine and went on living a normal one eyed life in the tank.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, sometimes the stress is just too much for them.
