Not chickens / CARDINALS

Unfortunately I found all 3 outside of the nest this morning o the ground of my chicken coop.
Not 100% sure what happened. 2 of them where still alive struggling and 1 of them was killed by my chickens I put the 2 back in the nest (without touching them by hand). Last I checked they were still alive. I hope they make it

I have been watching a cardinal nest that was made on the inside fence line of my chicken coop. We have a manicured holly bush that has entwined with our fence and the cardinals made it their home. I have been watching 3 eggs for the past couple weeks. To my surprise on Monday they hatched !!

Oh my gosh! What a blessing to be able to witness this! I once was out with my Cub Scout Pack, the kids started chasing a bunny but the bunny never ran off so I knew something wasn't right so I made them stop, back away from her and watch her...she gave birth to her bunnies right there in our presence! Amazing!

1 of the baby birds survived!! Mom and dad both came back and rotated feedings. She grew up strong!
Thursday after work I checked on my australorp since losing my red star

I noticed the baby cardinals dad frantically flying back and forth. When I checked the nest she was gone I looked in the bottom of my coop but didn't see her! After relaxing I could hear her in the surrounding area. She was still in the same holly Bush just on an outward branch. I witnessed mom and dad come back and forth and then her take the first plunge out of the nest! Mom and dad both flying up to a tree then back down to the ground. She has slept 2 nights in a Bush around the front of our house with mom and dad at her side.

This was awesome to witness and I am so grateful to have you guys to share this with!
