Not eating after worming

I just wormed my two hens yesterday, with Wazine 17, following the directions on the bottle. I know it says not to use it for laying hens but I intent to compost the eggs until it's safe. Usually I use diatomaceous earth but I noticed one of mine is seeming a little thin, acting normal, but just a little skinny all of the sudden so I figured I should worm them proper.
They did drink the water, I left it out from about 12 yesterday to 12pm today, a full 24 hrs. I cleaned out the waterer and gave them fresh stuff with a half a package of save-a-chick probiotics just in case the meds killed the good stuff in their guts too. They have access to crumble and pellets, mixed, so they can choose.
I gave them mealworms this morning as a treat and they did eat those. I checked for impacted crop or anything, all good, and they both laid eggs. But when I went to give them a strawberry later in the day they both looked offended. They usually almost kill me getting a strawberry out of my hands. They also seem a little lethargic. Is this normal, do chickens normally get upset stomachs after worming or should I be really concerned? I'm going to try and give them a live mealworm later and see if they eat that but I'm pretty worried.

Any product that will kill internal worms or other parasites is poison. That is nothing but common sense. This one fact is prime evidence that holistic cures like DE etc are worthless gips. Therefor I am un-surprised that you hens are off their feed. Give them nothing but layer for a week or two and they will soon be back to their old selves.

You know Wazine only kills round worms?
Best have a fecal float done to determine if, what kind, and how many worms they may be carrying.
