Not eating why & what to do?

Hens, maybe a year old were raised on a commerical feed and ate about 50 lb a month. All of a sudden they quit eating the pellets eating only treats and whatever they can dig out of the floor of the run.

I thought they would return to the pellets if hungry enough but after several weeks they are still ignoring the pellets. They apppear to be healthy but very hungry.

Why & what to do? comments greatly appreciated.

Mine hate their pellets right now, too. It's Layena, and I'm thinking maybe they know something I don't...like maybe they'd respond differently to a new bag- perhaps something went wrong in that batch?

Wish I could sympathize! My 6 RIR's used to go two weeks to empty a feeder. Now it needs to be filled weekly. I think they must be going through some adolescent growth spurt or something. They just turned one year old.
