Not egg bound?

Final update.
The vet said she was either egg bound or had the yolk issue discussed prior. The only way to figure it out was to do an xray and surgery that would have made her unable to lay eggs any longer.
She was in such bad shape by the time we got there, and was so miserable we just chose to have her put down.
 
I'm so sorry for your loss you are so wonderful for taking her to the vet. Most people don't. God bless your heart.

She was lucky there was a vet that would even look at a chicken, IMO. Around here, they're just livestock, and livestock that's only worth a few bucks, at that. Vets around here would just laugh at you for wanting to bring in a $10 hen.
