Not emergency, but... WHAT is the problem here? Give me your opinions.

HOLY cow 60$ a piece for pet quality? Ouch so 40$ for both birds if they are both hens hmmm...I would say no-how much more $ are you in for with treatment/time/meds/quarateen etc....Im sorry maybe Im being cheap-Id say 30$ tops... Im sorry-at least she is trying to resolve the issue!

I agree, I am happy she is trying to solve the issue.

I find $20 to be a good deal on a nice looking hen with no problems. I usually top out at about $50 for a nice hen.

But $40 for two, when one is possibly a roo (she swears it's not) and the other I'm going to have to do some serious TLC on is kind of iffy to me.

I haven't emailed her back. She has been very apologetic. But this is a lot more then I bargained for this Christmas.

I agree--sorry I meant 60$ for pet qaulity is too much for me-a nice possible SQ breeder hen I would top out at 40-50$ too. Im sure I could be persuaded even more if it meant really prettying up some breeders:)... Yorur silkie was better looking too:). ..What would you like her to do? What would make you happy?

I agree Organic.

Sonew--honestly, I'm not sure what to do. In one respect, I'd hate to have to baby this chicken and make it better only for her to pick it up eventually.

I feel between a rock and a hard spot.

Sonew, by the way, thank you for the comments on mine. I try to keep only the poofiest ones and she has seen photos of mine and knows what I expect, ie (all mine):
