Not Laying Rooster

increased feed but no change.

Chickens usually do best if they have food available all the time. They are pretty good at eating the right amount for their needs.

As other people have said, roosters (male chickens) will never lay eggs. But having feed available all the time can help keep them all healthy, and help the hens (female chickens) keep laying well.

Help! new to chickens, just moved to country from large city, purchased 10 chickens, all laying nicely except the rooster, increased feed but no change. What am I doing wrong?
You are so very lucky that only one of the ten birds grew up to be male! My luck tends to run on the 50/50 side and sometimes pushing towards six males with four females in a straight run of 10 chicks! I'd like some of YOUR luck please!
Male birds grow up to help your female birds to make babies by fertilizing the eggs that only the female birds lay.
