Not my Michael!

The original MJ, was an entertainer, the man/boy that passed away today was what was left of him. Fame affects people differently and it's not up to us to judge if it's right or wrong. The entertainment industry lost a great entertainer today.

I feel like a piece of my childhood has gone away. I don't grieve for who he became. I grieve for who he was when I was young, innocent, and gah gah over this white hot guy on the brand new thing called "MTV".

This is who I, too, grieve for. Michael Jackson was just a few years older than me. I remember The Jackson 5 tv show, I remember "little Michael Jackson" performing and secretly being in love with him. Secretly because a white girl wasn't suppoed to be in love with a black boy back then.

I mourn the person and the great talent he once was. Good bye Michael. We'll love and miss you.

It doesn't matter if you think Michael Jackson was a freak, child molestor, or just misunderstood (and it's really not our place to judge) you have to admit he was a gifted genius. It's so sad that many gifted geniuses go insane and end tragically.

His gift of music will live on forever. He has left a legacy, and whatever you may think about him, that's more than most of us will ever accomplish.
