Not my Michael!

I just put on my facebook page:

Jenn * is sad to hear that Michael Jackson has died. The MJ I remember wasn't the freak. Back in 1984 when I was 9, Michael was the biggest star in the sky, the first pop icon of my childhood, and "Thriller" was the first cassette I ever purchased. I even had sparkly glove earrings... but would only wore one. I never did get his autograph, which I was certain (at age 9) that I would acquire one day.

I feel like a piece of my childhood has gone away. I don't grieve for who he became. I grieve for who he was when I was young, innocent, and gah gah over this white hot guy on the brand new thing called "MTV".

I never did like MJ but liked one of his Thriller movie, that was it.

Glad he is gone. At least no one can get his money anymore! I would not be surprised if he did not have any money to his name!
