When you build the new coop and run, if you make the run predator safe you wont have to close the coop door at night. There are a lot of good examples and plans in our Coop articles.

I live in the country far from other people so I can let my chickens be free range and healthy chickens but we do need to be aware of foxes and other predators.

I only saw the footprint right next to my wood shed. I have large hands.

My hunter neighbors saw her and the cubs.
