I have my 5 little almost-5-month-old naked neck cockerels, well not ONE has crowed yet, not a single peep of a crow [IMG], BUT today I witnessed one of them, the SMALLEST, trying to mount one of the hens today [IMG]...and is that normal???, I knew they were coming of age..but still, i wanted them to proclaim thier manlyness in loud annoying crows first! hmmm, I guess anything's possible. My original alpha roo proclaimed his manliness the same week he started trying to mate the pullets. Maybe yours will start soon.

give them time.....puberty hits in different places at different times....give him time and he should start crowing unless he is a mute..lol....it is not uncommon for that to happen
