So I was hatching shipped Ancona duck eggs, three made it to lockdown, one died pipped, and one hatched flawlessly. The third was fine, pipped and zipped quickly, but after about five or six hours hadn’t made any progress. His eggshell was really rounded, so I couldn’t tell he was malpositioned! I started chipping away, and got him out. There was a really rubbery bit connected to his navel, maybe the size of a quarter. I wrapped it in toilet paper and put him in a large tic tac box. Help?
