Hello,
I incubated my first set of duck eggs. I was given seven. Three were infertile. One had the ring of death early on. Two were born this morning on day 31. The last one kicked out tonight. He had a very hard time getting out and once he was he was still connected to the bottom shell. There is a portion of his yolk sac that is not absorbed. About the size of a pea. I tucked his butt back in the bottom half of his shell, wrapped him in a warm washcloth, put him in a bowl and kept him in the incubator. He talks to me but he’s very tired.
Should I be doing anything else?

If you’d like, you can try cracking a raw egg, sucking up some of the yolk with an eye dropper, and try feeding it to him. When I did that, I put little bubbles on the chick’s beak, and it worked perfectly. Good luck!
