We have 1 rir rooster ( soon will be in the stew pot! mr meanie) 1 buff cochin rooster , 4 golden comets, 2 amber links ,( we call these 6 the tsc chickens) 4 br, 2 rir, 3 ba. those are the big girls/boys in the big coop .. in the house we have week old babies 3 ee, 3 bo, 2 jersey giants, 1 glw ( i am sure that one is a roo.. he was the "free" one ) and 5 dinosaur chicks as we call them.. cornish X .

My chickens owe everyone on this site a big Thank You .. we have taken care many issues by just reading old posts. i always say " hold on.. i gotta go check byc and see what they say"

Well.. gotta go feed/ water the girls and then dig my truck out.. no ..really.... i got my 4wd truck stuck in the snow last night IN my drive .. sheesh....

Im new to posting too and just got invited back on after forgetting there was such a place! Thanks so much! I have nine hens, a mis of rir, buffs and one black orpington (my fav). My buff roo died this past fall. He was gorgeous and I'm missing him but the girls are happy. The day he died the nine of them laid 14 eggs! All in the same nest throughout the day. I was shocked! Has anyone ever heard of this happening before?
