Hi all!
I'm not really new, it's been several years since I've been on here and I forgot my login stuff! Anyhow, I'm still pretty new to chickens. I have 1 Blue Orpington, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte and 1 Blue laced Red Wyandotte, all hens. 8 weeks ago I bought 7 fertile eggs from a local couple that have several different kinds of chickens, only a couple purebred Buff Orpingtons and the rest are Orpington, Brahma and ?? mixes. I guess they are called barnyard mixes. Anyhow, my BLR hen got broody so the fertile eggs went under her. 5 hatched! And she's been an awesome mom! We are keeping 1 of them and the rest are going to good friends of mine.
I'm going to see if I can find or start a thread so I can post their pictures and see if I can get some help in identifying the girls from the boys.
Love this site and have referred to it a lot!

There is a place for you post photos as "what breed or gender is this." We also like to take a look at them and give our best guesses. Welcome back to BYC.

Our hens are so spoiled! When ever they hear anyone come into the house, they come up onto the porch and look in the sliding glass door! LOL!
