Not so newbie/newbie From MI

Hello from Central MI!!! Not to new to chickens, have had them off and on over the years. We have 10 chickens right now but I think are Roo's. This was the first (and last) year we got straight run. I am not sure of all breads, we have Olive Eggers, Easter Eggers, Brahma, Wyandotte, Sapphire Gem, and I don't know. I just said give me to 10 chicks. We have raised many different breeds over the years but I don't think we have raised these before. We have even raised and butchered meat birds. We like the eggs. We first started with chickens when our kids were little, they have flown the coop since. We had some grands that would come over all the time and they enjoyed the chicks....that set has now grown, and now we have some littles once again. We are fairly young Grandparents I would like to think, in our mid 50's, with the oldest grand graduated HS this yr and the youngest is 2. 5 in all. We like to camp, fish, hunt, and spend time with family. We have a mini orchard in our back field that we do harvest and make jelly's, wines, and other yummy treats with. And we (I) have a cat named Ash. We've known about this awesome forum/site for years, visit here quite often. Figured it was time to join. Always looking for idea's on ways to improve and ALWAYS willing to learn new things.
