I am a self-confessed newbie to chickens. In June I bought a few little fluffy "silkie" chicks. Now that they are growing up (approx 3.5 months old), it is clear that they are crossed with something. But I have no idea what! I'm also wondering if they are little pullets or roosters. No one is crowing yet.

They all have 5 toes, but their skin is grayish with blue-black spots. Two of them also have heavily feathered feet and legs. Here they are:

I know, they're so neat looking. Sometimes the "mutt" chickens are just so much more unique and fun looking. Our dogs are the same way. We don't have the foggiest idea what they're mixed with, but we love them all the more for their uniqueness!

i might see a little cochin in the 2nd pic... the others I'm out to wind on... although none have loose enough feathers for cochin...

Popeye: Easter Egger/Maran Rooster
Stella: Cochin/Polish
Slinky: Barred Rock/Copper Maran

They all look like they have a little cochin in them. Have Fun!!

1st one is a BR/EE
2nd is half silkie
3rd is also half silkie

Unfortunately I can't see the other breeds in the last 2
