Not super urgent: this baby hatched yesterday afternoon and her feet are still twisted and she can’t walk, should I give her little shoes to fix them?

This is the tape I used, I have cardboard on the bottom and Kleenex on the top because it got super stuck to her earlier and I had to soak it in warm water to get it off.

@HollowOfWisps , I believe, just uses painters tape alone. And it should come off easily too. She can correct me if I am wrong.
Like I said I used tape earlier and he got super stuck in it, any other tape I used (green painters) just falls off before it can do anything, my other two ducks I have to do this on I just used tape but I don’t have that tape anymore

Get some human vitamin b complex, and give 1/4 tablet crushed and added to a spoonful of water with a dropper. Any vitamin with riboflavin (B2) is okay. Polyvisol without iron, Poultry Cell vitamins can also be given orally. You can make a simple shoe by applying tape to the bottom of her foot, with the toes in a normal position, and one piece on top. Here is a good picture:

Phew, I am SO glad you could help. OP, please keep us informed. Hope the boot works swell for chickie! :thumbsup

I did not realize this was a duckling. Be sure to use some extra niacin (vitamin B 3) since that can be a common deficiency.
I am, I’ve added it to both food and water. I think it wasn’t working because I wasn’t actually taping the foot, it was in between Kleenex and cardboard and I assume is was just closing again now the actual foot is taped with a tubber band on legs

This is the babies feet After 4 full days and night of taping and swimming support, this it how it looks, she can walk and swim like this and eats and drinks well, any other suggestions? Mama has officially rejected her, so she’s outside with the other babies and this little one is inside with us.
