Newbie here! This is a RIR about 4 weeks old. Possible rooster?
Super cute little chicks! Too early to tell by the comb and wattles, but chick number three has a roostery posture, if you know what I mean.
Nope, that's a pretty little girl
x2. I definitely see what you mean on the rooster posture.
I'm not sure about the following:
Chicken #1 (not sure about breed)
Two Barred Rocks
Easter Egger #1
Easter Egger #2
Lavender Orpington #1
Lavender Orpington #2
Sorry for all the pics but I'm trying to figure out which are going to be my hens... Thanks!
@Jetblack2004 where have you been? I Miss your help!
Are they about two weeks old? My little roo babies were super precocious, with pink combs and wattles showing up right at two weeks. Watch #3 - I'm betting a nickel that you see wattles in a few days. I do feel like the other two are pullets though. Such pretty little things. Can't wait to see how they look when they grow up!
Yes I'm thinking I've had them longer, but 2-3 weeks is about right. I'm guessing I've got to wait a few more weeks to know for sure? Thanks for taking the time to help
Omg!! Thank you! She is mine and my kids favorite so great news
I'm really really sorry. Three of my hens were unwell and I was checking on them all the time and kept having to rush them too the vets. But all three died . The vet says they probably picked up a disease of some sort.
I'm sorry I was gone, I'm back now though!
