Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or A Cockerel? Click Here!

At what age do they start crowing and grow spurs?
both genders can grow Spurs, but usually you'll see spur bumps before they grow in completely. I'm looking at the sickle feathers and the comb, but what is confusing is that I don't see any saddle feathers. Crowing should occur around 20-25 weeks old I believe

I have a 12 week old Cuckoo Marans I am hoping to identify gender on. It is not an aggressive bird, like some of the others I have positively identified as cockerels. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you! I am hoping you are right. I only have one and would love for it to be a pullet. Especially since I am fairly certain I have four other cockerels. Only one has crowed, but the other three are looking pretty manly.

It's just 2 birds...2 pics of each. Yes, the darker one has a pea comb. The chick was sold to me as a blur orpington.
To me that blue looks a lot like my blue Ameraucana. It also has slate coloured legs with is an Ameraucana trait. Orpingtons have white legs. With the Ameraucana's or EE's, a single row of peas is a pullet, while 3 rows is a cockerel. They take longer to be sure. If you can post a better picture of its head, I would have a better chance. The lav orp looks like a pullet.
