Here are the 2 Welsummer (hopefully) pullets taken today at 7 weeks


And the one likely cockerel taken 2 weeks ago at 5 weeks
Welsummers can be sexed by the color of the chest feathers. A reddish brown chest is always going to be a pullet. A black chest is always going to mean cockerel.

Interesting. I didn't know that. I'll have to take a closer look tomorrow.
Pretty sure the top 2 have the reddish brown chest. Not sure I've seen black on the last one. Is 7 weeks too early for the chest feathering color markers?
 
Thoughts on this sweet Ameracauna? Boy or girl and what colour would you call this? Thank you

They are to young to sex accurately, I would post again at 5 or 6 weeks.
