she turns 13 weeks this Friday, I have it marked downAre you sure about the age? The coloring is 100% female, but that comb suggests point of lay, at least 4 to 5 months old, not 3 months.
Can't see the saddle feathers too well, but don't those hackle feathers look very pointy (rooster) to you? What I can see of the saddle feathers look pointy as well. Are you sure about the age? It's a case of patterning causing an optical illusion. The feathers aren't pointed, it just looks like they are because of the black patterning. The feathers are actually rimmed in the base gold color. Look past the pattern and try to see the whole feather. Can't see the saddle feathers too well, but don't those hackle feathers look very pointy (rooster) to you? Are you absolutely positive of the hatch date? Sometimes even the best of breeders can loose track of which chick was hatched when. If you got her at a feed store, she could have been a few weeks old by the time you purchased her.she turns 13 weeks this Friday, I have it marked down
they really do. She is very sweet so hopefully roo. I need a good roo right now. Somebody mentioned that comb/wattles were about the size of a laying hen so I hope she is a rooster. Thanks for the help!!Can't see the saddle feathers too well, but don't those hackle feathers look very pointy (rooster) to you? What I can see of the saddle feathers look pointy as well.
