6-7 week old speckled Sussex. Hoping it's a pullet.

Can you get a full body picture? I'm leaning towards pullet though.

A black sex link is a hybrid layer, they are bred so you can sex them at hatch by their coloring. Females will be black while cockerels will be black with a white dot on their head. Where did you get your chick? Did they tell you what breed it was?

If it's pure Barred Rock, it's a pullet for sure.
