Thank you! I'm really sad to see the Light Brahma turn into a roo. My son adores her...er him. Her (his!!?) name is Chickaletta - and we used her (sigh him) for chicken photo shoots. Now he has to head to a farm where Roos are legal.

It depends on the age and the breed.

Not sure of the breed (we're newbies and the girls at the store were as naive as us) but it is a couple days short of being 5 weeks old. Did notice some brown barring on the edge of its feathers this morning. Will post a pic as soon as I free some space on my phone!

I have 4 week old "Red Rangers" from Tractor Supply. Any idea what genders they are? There's a total of 5, a different one in each picture, number 1-5 from left to right and top to bottom (#5 is on the bottom)Thanks for the help!

4 and 5 look like potential cockerels to me at this time. Keep us updated!
