Supposed to be a RIR pullet, but there's been some comb growth and pinking up. Could we have a rooster here?? "She" isn't assertive at all, seems pretty docile and more of a follower, also about 6 weeks old.

These are my chicks, all are about 5 weeks except the lavendar orpingtons which are 6 weeks, Thank You in advance :)

Honestly it could go either way right now, "she" could be a fast developing pullet or a medium developing cockerel. I would post again in a week or two. (oh and the baby in the picture is adorable!)

Hello! I'm not 100% sure if this is a rooster. It looks very red in the face but it's wattles and comb are smaller than all the other roos' I have.

It's a 12 week old buff Orpington.

Thank you for the reply! It's hard to get a chicken picture with an uncooperative chicken and uncooperative baby

I guess we'll just keep watching and hope she's just a fast developing pullet. We can't have roosters and we already have a little Cochin rooster that needs a home.

I'm thinking pullet right now, some pullets get semi curved tails but they "grow" out of them as they get older. But this one is definitely tricky.
