Hi, I have a 5 week old silkie cross -- probably silkie / EE. It is the gray chick in the photos. Any guesses if it is a pullet or cockerel ?

It's too young to be sure, but to me the soft coloring looks like a pullet so far. All 3 are very adorable.

I'm voting cockerel, but how old is it? And Sussex? Orpington?

Definitely a cockerel. Must be young since it still has fluff on its neck. I'd say even an early bloomer it's so red and big lol

Just a couple of weeks ago I would have bet the farm this was a pullet. Now not so sure. It was small and shy. Now its the first one to treats and is really growing!! Not aggressive....just first. Thank you
