That's so strange because there are no pointy feathers, no pointy saddle feathers and her head ones are broad although, most are still incased and haven't opened yet. What a bummer thanks

He's young. The big boy rooster feathers come a little later. If you look at pictures of pullets, though, the ends of the head feathers are broad and blunt at all ages.

So curious about this one. We have two plymouths and one is obviously cockerel. He is lighter in color with red wattle and comb and stands taller. This one is darker in color and is bigger breasted, however it has a red comb that concerns me.

Comb doesn't look red to me.

Got this guy (and 11 others) last week. The guy said he was 95% sure the one with the white head (looks like an eagle) was a roo. Can you give me your opinion please. They're supposed to be a Blue Wheaten Ameraucana.

I just got this chicken from a friend a few days ago. She told me I won't know if it's a pullet or cockerel until it's older. She said it's a RIR. About 4 months old.

I think it's a pullet, but I definitely don't think it's a RIR.

She is an EE but her comb is way bigger than the other EEs behind her and she's always looked a bit more scraggly than the others also has really long feathers and wings compared to the others. She was the runt of the group but very feisty. Here is an up close shot of the head I just took.



I don't know the breed of the white one. It was a mystery chick. Maybe a whiting true blue or another EE but those are just guesses.

Not an Easter Egger. Looks more a Phoenix or Fayoumi. If those chest feathers are as black as they look in the pictures, definitely a cockerel.
