Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

I think you've got a hen. The tail is what is confusing. If that top tail feather grows out long and stringy then start looking for a home. You can see my Buff Orpington Roo that we were told was a SEXED AMERACAUNA!! :barnie
Thanx, I'm hoping and watching those feathers. The white edges are not pointy so still holding out hope. Time will tell. And, if I get my house sold and can move to place I got my eye on it will be no problem and would love to breed some Brahmas.

Hello All. New here to the forum as of today :D

I need some breed and gender info on my newest chicks. Mixed Bantams purchased at TSC 3.5 weeks ago. The chicks were at least 6 days old at purchase, so I am calling them 4.5 weeks old today.

Four feathered legs, three of them are red and one light yellow. Two tiny ones that now are quite attractive. I am fairly sure I have 2 Roos, but not sure about the red ones. I can't keep Roos, so need to know what I have.

Hopefully can figure out how to post a picture!

This picture is from Wed, so 4weeks old minimum.

The pale yellow one has been the largest since I bought them. Don't know if he/she is older or not, but seems to be growing at the same pace as the red ones.

Can anyone guess their breed or gender?

The gray and white and black chicks are 5.5 weeks old. Same dad different moms. Dad was a silver Wyandotte and unsure moms breeds. We were hoping for a few new hens and I felt we had some but we had a predator attack Friday and lost mama and 5 chicks. These are the two left. I've thought for awhile the white and gray is probably a cockerel, thoughts on both? Thanks!

We have a 6-week old Silver-Laced Wyandotte here. Any guesses on whether we have a roo or pullet? Thanks for your time!

I say pullet for the Silver laced. Even coloring and lacing all over and no red wattles. By 6 weeks my golden laced Wyandotte cockerel was very red. Boys have patchy coloring on wings and back.

Hen. A rooster has sickle, long pointy feathers on their back, this chicken doesn't have any.
