Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

So far, everyone seems to think the EE is a roo. It was not hot the day I took the pics, and the comb on the barred rock seems to get a tiny bit bigger and redder every day, whereas the comb on my other rock is smaller and yellow (same age). Thanks for your input!

This is today's pic of the rock:
If the BR's comb keeps growing you may find your answer soon. Most of the time, the males have a lot more white in their feathers. Yours look dark like a female. Yours also has a "black wash" on the front of its shanks- another female trait- so this bird is a confusing one.

I know he's a cockerel but can't figure out what exactly he is. First thought he was a penciled cochin, then maybe dark brahma. But the comb isn't pea which is what I thought Brahmas had.

Almost looks like a blending of a rose comb breed (like maybe wyandotte ) and a pea comb breed (like brahma or easter egger)

Okay, the last time I posted here, my chicks were 5 and 4 weeks old. They are now 10 and 9 weeks old, looking gorgeous, and I'm feeling 99% sure that I got all pullets, woo! Do you concur?

Amelia, 10 week old Easter Egger (she was a very large masculine chick, so I thought she was most likely to grow up to be a roo)

Ainsley, 10 week old Easter Egger (her patches of dark red on her wings were suspicious, but so far she's looking pullet-ey)

Zoey, 9 week old Speckled Sussex

Donna, 10 week old Delaware (doing a yoga pose for you)

Claudia, 10 week old Barred Rock (was obviously a pullet several weeks ago) :)

Josephine, 10 week old Black Sex Link (obviously a pullet from day 1, but don't want her to feel left out here!)

Any Brahma experts? He/she is around 11 weeks give or take. View attachment 1038685 View attachment 1038686 View attachment 1038688 View attachment 1038690 View attachment 1038693 View attachment 1038694 This was sold as a pullet but I think it's a roo. Anyone with Brahma experience please? I can't keep Roos so I'd like to rehome him sooner rather then later if I get a lot of feedback that it's a male. He/she's my first Brahma and doesn't live up to the friendly calm nature I've hear about. This one is very skiddish and aloof. Wants nothing to do with me and I've tired all chicken whispering techniques ha! Oh well :(

Thanks guys :)
Looks like a hen to me.

Also wanted to say, we had 2 light brahma chicks(pullets) when we started out 5 years ago. They were very different in temperment, one very flighty, the other, you can hold and walk around with, very "personable."

Hi, I'm just starting with chickens, I have 3, 7 week old Dominiques. I'm pretty sure I have a rooster in the 3. Comb is pink and much more developed than the other 2, they are just barely turning pink. Not sure if it means anything, today I brought my 3 week Golden Wyandottes chicks out to the coop for a brief meet & great. The Dominique I'm not sure about chased one, and pecked one of the others. The other 2 Dominiques didn't bother them at all, interested but that was it.
