If the BR's comb keeps growing you may find your answer soon. Most of the time, the males have a lot more white in their feathers. Yours look dark like a female. Yours also has a "black wash" on the front of its shanks- another female trait- so this bird is a confusing one.So far, everyone seems to think the EE is a roo. It was not hot the day I took the pics, and the comb on the barred rock seems to get a tiny bit bigger and redder every day, whereas the comb on my other rock is smaller and yellow (same age).
