Too early to tell, even for a BR. Try again when the bird is 6 weeks or so.
You're thinking of Black Sex Links. In Barred Rocks, both sexes have a spot. In real Barred Plymouth Rocks (show stock), those with a careful eye can be somewhat accurate in sexing by the shape and size of the head spot. This doesn't apply to hatchery rocks.
I heard both genders have the spot actually
THANKS. I post again in a week or so when she he is 6 weeksToo early to tell, even for a BR. Try again when the bird is 6 weeks or so.
