Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Thank you was starting to suspect that it was a roo. The others are all pullets and been hearing one crowing.

The Wyandotte is a pullet. The Ameraucana is looking like a cockerel. I see dark blue male saddle feathers just starting to come in.

@junebuggena you rock! I was really hoping for an Ameraucana pullet... I'm undecided if we will keep it if it is indeed a cockerel - depends on the crow... We're close to 1 neighbor although they do have very vocal dogs, so that would make us even, right?

Asian blacks. First three pics are the same one. I was told roo at about 4 to 5 weeks old. They are now 10 weeks old. Also wondering about the one with the red band in the last two pics. Thank you!

Hi there, I have 4 wheaten/blue wheaten and 1 blue Ameraucana chicks, that are 3 weeks old. From what I've read on here, it sounds like this breed can be tricky to sex young, but just curious what signs you watch for to tell the gender? I can post pics, if it would be worthwhile at this age. Thank you!

I'm new to chickens, who would of thought they'd be so hard to photograph!!! Lol, I'm really hoping most are pullets... although I'm suspicious about one of the SLW's... all of the chickens are between 7 and 8 weeks. Would love some input on gender please :)

Do you know what breeds? #1 looks like a red sexlink pullet, but only if from a reputable source. #2 looks like a black sexlink pullet, but only if from a reputable source. #3 is definitely a cockerel, regardless of breed.

My daughter got them from her school, and they didn't know the breeds. Thanks for the help!
