Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

View attachment 1028890 View attachment 1028889 View attachment 1028890 What do you guys think of this little one. He/She is 7 weeks old. I keep calling her a she because that's what I want, but she is unsexed.

Looks more like a pullet to me. They can still change at 7 wks, but think the chances for a pullet are very good.

I don't know, it looks like it has pretty good waddle & comb development for 7 weeks. But I'm far from an expert, just taken from what I've learned here at BYC. ✌

Going to try these pics as they are more individualized and better quality, if still fuzzy (chicks are fast!)... leaving out the bantams (GLWs and Silkies) as I'm sure I won't know for a while longer since it sounds like they're exceedingly difficult to sex.

Cockerel or pullet? Four weeks old + (not sure of actual age of Easter Egger-largest chick)

Thanks guys!

Didn't realize there was a part 2 thread. I have 2 blue copper marans and 2 black copper marans. They are almost 4 weeks old and they're combs are looking larger and waddles are coming in. I am worried they are roosters. :( These were taken today.

Hmm, 1, 2, and 4 definitely look roo-ish to me. I have a 6 week old golden cuckoo Marans and she (pretty sure she's a she) has zero wattle/comb - looks more like your #3. Still young though!

Just got back in town from being gone a week. My last Maran has feathered and I'm confused again.. I was so sure I had another roo. Any ideas?
