The first one looks like a pullet (if it's over 9 wks), but it really depends on how old they are. Second one could be an older female getting close to laying (16 wks or more). How old are they?
Both images are of the same one. They are 9 weeks old today and this is the one is have been confused about. It has female coloring, but a very red comb. I have thought it was a male since I brought it home, but no male coloring has come through yet.

10.5 week old buff, what sex?

cockerel. We had an orp that looked like that around 14 wks, and he turned out to be a roo, so if yours is showing that much red comb and wattles and 10.5 wks, I would think cockerel :)

4 or 5 week RIR. For some reason I've been suspicious that this one could be a roo..thoughts?

They looked like different birds! ...especially the comb color, but that's not very reliable on a computer monitor. I bet it's a pullet then. Everything about it looks like a pullet except for the comb so I think she just has a big comb! :fl

So you've had them for about 10 wks. Were they feathered out when you got them? It's hard to say on the white one without knowing the age. If it's 10 wks old, it's a cockerel that hasn't gotten his male saddle feathers in (or crowed) yet.
Yeah when I got them they were all fluff....no feathers. Thanks for your help!

I got a 10 week old wyandotte bantam chick. What do you think? A boy or a girl?
