not sure on breed

Does anyone have any idea what this girl may be? Shes from a breeder but I lost his contact info as I've had her since she was a chick.. any ideas thanks! Also I live in australia p.s sorry for bad photos shes got 2 little chickies and is camera shy

What color are her legs? If they're a slate/willow color then my guess is an Araucana Mix, since Aussie Araucanas are crested and tailed. She's very pretty anyways!

X2. Neither am I. She may well be pure bred, just a breed we do not have here in the US.

The term "breeder" is often loosely used. Maybe the breeder just hatches mixed breed birds for fun.

Sorry, he breeds his birds to be of a show standard keeping them segregated and he sells his 'pure' fertilized eggs for a living. I assumed thats what a breeder meant. I know nothing about breeds but we did buy eggs off him so we would have nice purebreds

She could be a purebred, as someone said earlier different countries have different types of breeds. But sometimes accidents happen and Roos or hens can get into other pens, hens do carry sperm for up to at least 3 weeks. Or he coulda been dishonest, it is hard to tell.
Either way, if you are happy with her, then that is what counts!
