Not sure what is going on.....very worried!

That is GREAT news! In the back of my mind I find myself wondering if she will always this problem. ??? But I am going to try and see if we can get it out. if she has this problem all the time I will have to consider putting her out of her misery...but I will worry about that another day IF she has problems in the future.
My tractor supply does not have a very good poultry section and I don't know of anywhere else to go. I got some poultry drench it is suppose to be good stuff 2 calcium ingredients are listed in the top 3 and vit d is number 5 on the list so I thought it would be better than nothing. I gave her direct shot of it into her mouth and she swallowed some of it. The directions say to put it into the water but she is not really drinking so it wouldn't do any good to put it in the water. Now she is sleeping under the heat lamp. i am waiting impatiently to see what she does...in a few I am going to put some lube in her tush. which I am sure she is not going to enjoy....but she is being VERY docile through all of this as if she knows I am attempting to help her. Animals seem to have a strange way of knowing.

I just give mine the human tablets and gel caps, 500mg and 1000 I.U.

Ok I lubed her up as well as I could. I have a new revelation......She seems to have very narrow hip bones.....I dont think she can pass an egg. The egg feels wider than the bones in her body. I am thinking there is not much hope.... I am going to PM an Araucana breeder and see if this is a problem with Araucana.

None of mine, Araucana, have had issues with eggs, but who knows... Try the warm baths and get her a large dose of calcium and d. The poultry drench does not have enough of it. It may take several attempts, but she should be able to pass it if you can get her relaxed/lubed enough.

I will NEVER get Araucana again! They are a headache and have all sorts of issues. I had to kill 2 of my chicks because their backs were too short and they could not process waste properly...now this!

Another thing I did for one was take a red rubber catheter tube, inserted that into the vagina and squirted some OB Lube in (just a couple of cc's). You can get these from a vet. I think the size I used was a 10 or 12 french.

I had my finger inside feeling around and she pushed. should I be able to see the egg as she is pushing? What I feel did not look like egg shell. She is pushing and squealing now as she pushes the situatiuon is getting worse. I feel really sorry for her.

It's possible that she has one of these stuck. This is a one pound mass that was stuck in her uterus. The pink/red is the uterus and the yellow stuff is egg that turned to puss.

I thought again about using the needle and extracting the egg and crushing the shell but if it is body tissue I dont want to stab her with a needle then put her out of her misery if it is not an egg not sure what to do really confused thank you for all your help I dont feel alone in this and even if it turns out I have to care for her by ending her life which will be really hard I feel I am doing what I can and in the end it will comfort me.
