Not sure what s wrong with Ruth’s comb?

Perhaps... I honestly don’t think so. I think it got caught on the wire. Because the others can’t reach her head without jumping and they have never attacked her before.

Ok, no cockerels, but I know the problem. We just recently put in a new run, but it is very low to the ground. She, being a Jersey Giant, is a bit big for it, so she probably got it cut on there. I will but some Vaseline or neosprorin on it. Hopefully it will heal up fine. Now I just need to prevent her from going into the run...

I think you are on to something here.
Her comb looks like it has been injured, probably hung in on wire if your run is too.

I understand it's frustrating since you just made a new run, hopefully you can figure out a way to raise it.

Update: we raised the run up so it’s not an issue anymore. I’m not sure if her comb is healing properly though... it’s a bit pale. Should I put anything on it?

Looks like it got bit off by another bird....
....would have had to be something very sharp to just rub against it and remove a hunk like that.
