We bought a mix of chicks this year in Spokane, Washington. We think she was moved from one box to another at the store so this is not what we thought we were buying. She is great, we just want to know the breed. She has 'blue' legs and bright blue earlobes.

Update: we took the picture back to the store where we purchased the chicks. The chicken specialist thinks this is a bantam Easter egg layer, especially since they had a few in stock at the time of our purchase. And we did get our first small green egg yesterday.....

It doesn't look like a bantam, but pictures can be deceiving. A bantam EE hen should weigh about a pound, or less. An Andalusian hen is about 5 pounds, similar in size to a Leghorn or Easter egger. So since you have a better idea of her size, you will have to judge for yourself on that count.

Personally, I don't think she looks like an Easter egger at all-- they usually have beards, pea combs, green legs, and red earlobes. She's closer to an Andalusian in appearance. But she could also be one of the hatchery strains of blue egg layers, like Whiting true blue. Those strains seem to vary in traits like comb type and leg color a lot more than regular Easter eggers.

She's a pretty hen. I love the black and white splashy color pattern. Hope she lays lots of eggs for you.
