You could even make them a Mud Cake...Using of course real mud, maybe a little oatmeal, grains.....AND WORMS!!!!

Instead of a pinata---hollow out a lettuce head or even a melon and fill with worms, grubs, grains, even seeds from the melon and let them peck away at it.

Are you going to invite "Mother Goose", or the "Delivery Stork"....Maybe even the Glazic Pickle Stork....

At least now I don't feel so bad. I don't go to the extent of a party for my animals, but on there birthdays I do tell them "Happy Birthday" and I may even sing a little song and dance a little jig for them. They usually get a special little treat--peppermint stick for the horse, apples for the sheep, so on and so forth....

I doubt that you would be able to find pre-made comb hats but when I was dressing my MinPin for a Halloween doggy costume contest a few years ago, I made her the Pied Piper with a multi-colored hat with feathers attached and made her hat and cape out of felt. I think I must have used fabric glue or staples to tie it all together.

I would imagine that it would be tough to build chicken hats that they can't scratch right off with their toes so you may have to use two chin straps for them. That may get them all excited! LOL

I say put on all the people hats first, have the camera all ready, have the chickens all caged, then everybody grab a chicken and throw a hat on, maybe for the picture just have the party-goers each holding one or two chickens with party hats as they will likely start kicking off hats as soon as you put them down.

I have parties for all my babies, so chickens will be getting one in Sept. Glad I'm not the only one!

I was planning to buy them crickets (although the new coop that is going to cost $1000 plus should be good enough) Maybe make a pin the comb on the chicken game?

Thanks for all the suggestions too...lots of great ideas! I'm gonna have to make 4 separate cakes bc of how we have the flock divvied up.

Party goers will be wearing the red comb hats..maybe I can create them out of that foam paper stuff or construction paper. I love the idea of pin the comb on the chicken game or maybe pin the tail and use one of my roos dropped feathers...

Pics will definitely be taken and posted. The party is going to be sometime in March...hopefully the weather will cooperate.
