this is so true...nothing keeps the hawks away or atleast alerts you that they are around more than the crows.

where would i get eggs to hatch the crows? is it possible to catch wild crows to breed? THAT WOULD BE COOL! GUARD CROWS! smarter than guineas...

Many Many years ago my great aunt had a pet crow, named Joe Joe!!! He was the coolest bird ever, so smart! She was a teacher and she would take him to school with her in the car. After he got able to fly she would leave him at home and he learned how to unlock the screened in porch where he lived and fly the 3 miles to the school and tap on her classroom window. Aunt Helen would open the window and Joe Joe would come in and stay until she left for the day and he would beat her home every time. Joe Joe ended up migrating or whatever every year but would always come back during the season usually in the fall to stay with her and my great uncle! This happened for about 10 years until he just stopped coming, around the fourth year of him doing this he would bring his mate and their offspring to her home but he was the only one that would sleep on the porch!!!! They mate for life and some of the young stay with the parents to help raise the next years babies together. Joe Joe also collected bright shiny thigs for aunt Helen, like screws and dimes and pieces of glass. When he left every year she would have to clean off his little roost area of all his collections. I enjoyed Joe Joe and so did everyone else!!! This is one of my fondest memories of Joe Joe and Aunt Ellen, he actually learned to talk like humans...he would say things like mama and pepsi. He puts my Sun Conure to shame he hasn't spoken a word in the 5 years I have had him!!!

That is an awesome story swdunn0926! I've wanted a pet crow ever since I saw The Secret Garden as a kid

Little bit further west, in Pulaski County. I've never been to South Boston, but I did meet Ward Burton once!
