So I have a 4-5 week old Coturnix male who hasn’t been tucking his right wing and today I noticed twitch after he had it wrapped all night. I’m thinking it’s maybe a fracture as there’s no break, no blood or cut, and no other signs of an illness. Through research I found birds can, in fact, fracture a wing, but I couldn’t find anything about quail specifically.

Also, if no one themselves are sure, would an avian vet know the answer? The one nearby me specialized in exotic birds but I’m sure I could find one for poultry that I could call or do an online consultation.

*This was posted on the Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries and Cures area as well with more information about the possible wing injury*

Can you post a video? (Upload to YouTube, then put a link here)
Pictures?
Sorry I had put pictures on the other post but forgot to add them here ahahaha!

I can take a video in the morning once the sun is up, I’ll try to get one of him stretching and twitching as he seems to alternate between the two

An avian vet should be able to tell whether the wing is fractured. You could take him to an avian vet if you wanted to.
