Fast huh.Jsut went and grabbed her, she made it easy since she was roosting.
Her keel bone is pretty sharp, seemed to get sharper in the last week. I have seen her eating, she's the first one to the feeder every morning, but the sharp keel makes me question how much.
Her abdomen also felt very bloated. Its not hard but squishy feeling. Her messy butt has a smell. Darn, this is worse then I thought. I really should have made a thread earlier, all these symptoms seemed to come on quite fast.
Give her a good clean up in the morning and check her really well.Jsut went and grabbed her, she made it easy since she was roosting.

I'm not entirely sure if/how much she lays, I do get an egg a day but not sure if thats her's or her siblings. I can check her vent in the morning. She's definitly on the older side, 8ish I believe?Give her a good clean up in the morning and check her really well.
If she's hard to catch, can you cage her tonight, that way she's confined and easy to get.
Bloated abdomen that's squishy may be more fat. If it were fluid, then it would be tight like a drum.
Can you get a fecal float to check for worms?
Does she lay eggs?
I did recently treat the flock for mites, I think a few weeks ago.An older hen like this may be having some reproductive issues.
If she's got a messy vent, it would be wise to give her a good wash up. Check for lice and mites as you go.
