Not urgent. Is the thing with their feathers normal?

A few of my GLWs are having feather changes. Is this normal?

Looks like a nutrient deficiency, kind of like when humans have white marks in their fingernails.

I’ve never personally seen it in birds as young as yours. What is their diet like?

there’s some controversy about bread. Some people say no bread ever (the very safest), and others give it as a treat. I give my birds occasional pinches of bread, never a lot all at once. I find it very useful for luring them back to the pen if they escape.

A lot of stuff is safe in small amounts, but it’s good to be extra careful with young birds. Also be sparing with the veggies; they are better than bread but they still take the place of formulated feed. 🙂
