Went to give my ladies fresh water this morning. I heard noises coming from the nesting boxes. My only egg layer was in the run so I assumed it was my other SLW, who seems very close to starting to lay. But no, it was my EE, didn't think she was close to lay yet! Does she look ready to lay to you guys? Her comb seems small yet, but I don't know how big EE's combs get. All my pullets hatched April 20. Everyone is squatting when I come near them, very vocal, and combs are getting bigger. I can't wait to see what color eggs I get from her!

That's a pea comb, it won't get much larger. It is quite pink though, so yes, she's about ready.
