I know our ins. company comes out and walks around the house and our buildings whether we're here or not. They know we have a bunch of animals, including chickens, dogs, horses... Haven't been dropped... Yet
We are trying to find a new carrier though. Nationwide is not on your side as far as cost is concerned - they are SO stinkin' EXPENSIVE!!! I know to be VERY careful now.
