"Notes to self"

UHG!! I would never foul my shop vac with fresh chicken poop!

Aart. Do you think I am waiting, CPoop SV (with the engraved chicken on the side) in hand, ready to go each time a chicken poops? I use it when it is well dried in my shavings,... not wet and gooey. <huge eye roll>

What's really sad about this comment is that it took me over... what, 10 hours?— to figure it out. *sigh* This business of aging really really is NOT for the faint of heart.

If you insist on keeping your young chickens in the bathtub (which is inside your house) remember that at some point the roosters, which heretofore have been silent, will one day start crowing. This crowing may take place at times inconvenient for sleep.

When do they stop being runny? Mine will get agitated and like squirt immediately and it’s like runny colored feed. Gross! It’s like they do it on command or demand rather whichever suits the situation. Geez.

True. Plus I have started a compost pile. In combination with my shop vac (see Note to Self #3) it means adding to it is painless!

p.s. Let’s you and I just ignore Aart’s negative comment (jk); he apparently doesn’t know anything about the wonders of a shop vac! (Tee hee).

p.p.s. Is Aart a roo or a hen!? Just want to get my pronouns correct. LOL
An engineer roo for sure.

Yes, yes, yes. I know fluffy bottoms/ pantaloons/ etc. are wonderful. But lord have mercy... do I have to teach them how to poop? Without getting it all over their delicate lace-like fluff?

Note to self #7

If you are going to give your horses a treat of alfalfa, please remember: chickens love it too and will peck it apart and make a mess.
